We struggle with this too, in fact, each time we add new content to the site. Because each area has a different type of content, and therefore, a potentially different audience, should there be separate structures. Or more extreme, should there be separate sites? Since IâÂÂm working with a structure that has been in place for a while, IâÂÂve been trying to tame inconsistencies and make the structure work for us. There is a need for a re-examination for sure. > The articles are high quality, but what about some non-designer-authored > articles, outsider points of view? ItâÂÂs good to hear that there is more of a need for how-to-type articles. Some of these are posted in the Design Forum (designforum.aiga.org) at large, but has not been a category thatâÂÂs been well documented traditionally on the site. > I enjoy very much the interdisciplinary quality of GAIN, which lifts the > issue of holistic design out of the web-service mire. Very cool. Thanks for this and for for the ideas on article types. IâÂÂll be posting editorial guidelines to the site soon, and will be including this in my overview.
