Web Design Business Numbers?

[I'm cross-posting. Many apologies.]

A friend of mine is looking for data on the web design industry. Here
are her questions:

1-I'm looking for data on the total market (dollars spent) for web
design and development services (everything from the creative, user
experience, etc.).  Do you know of any reputable research groups that
track the industry? [She's probably aware of Jupiter and Forrester, so
anything more specific would be appreciated...]

2- Also, in your expert opinion, would you say that companies that
spend on the higher end services (things like flash and rich media)
are generally spending on a one-off basis or that their spending is
on-going?
