Hi all, I am writing to you on behalf of Unite For Sight (http://www.uniteforsight.org),which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that empowers communities worldwide to improve eye health and eliminate preventable blindness. We are seeking volunteer graphic designers to assist with both print and web-based graphic design needs. All of our funding goes directly to providing eye care worldwide, and we unfortunately do not have funds available to pay for graphic design services. We previously had a wonderful, talented graphic design volunteer who provided for all of our needs during the past 3 years, but she just started a graduate degree program, and we are therefore in need of new volunteers. About Unite For Sight Unite For Sight (www.uniteforsight.org <http://www.uniteforsight.org>) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that empowers communities worldwide to improve eye health and eliminate preventable blindness. The goal of Unite For Sight is to work with its partner communities and eye clinics to create eye disease-free communities. Community-based chapters implement eye health education and screening programs in 25 countries. Additionally, Unite For Sight works with eye clinics worldwide. Since Unite For Sight's international launching nearly three years ago, its programs have evolved into a standardized model at 13 eye clinics worldwide that have provided eye care to more than 400,000 people thus far, including more than 6,000 sight-restoring cataract surgeries, in addition to other types of eye care to thousands more. During 2006, we sponsored 4,000 cataract surgeries and anticipate sponsoring at least 6,000 during 2007. Our global programs are based in rural villages, urban locations, as well as in refugee camps.
