*Senior Interaction Designer* Having access to the right information at the right moment makes all the difference to a retailer monitoring inventory, a delivery person tracking a package, and a nurse following a patient's progress. Motorola Enterprise Mobility is looking for a senior interaction designer to join our Innovation & Design team. The right candidate will have the drive to design the overall customer experience across hardware and software products and systems. Innovation & Design is an integrated team of industrial designers, interaction designers, design researchers, human factors engineers, and mechanical, electrical and software engineers. We're responsible for improving existing products, developing new ones and identifying future opportunities for the company. As a senior interaction designer, you will work on a variety of projects, including rich web applications, desktop apps, embedded apps, and hardware interfaces. Your focus will be split, about 70:30, between updating existing products, and identifying and designing future concepts. *Required Skills* - A successful candidate must have a degree in a relevant field - Broad and flexible skills in interaction design, user interface design and design research -Experience working on some combinations of web and desktop applications, embedded applications and/or hardware interfaces - The ability to aggregate insights from design research, marketing, engineering and other sources into actionable design concepts and solutions - Proven experience with design methodologies and tools, such as observational research, rapid-prototyping, screen-flow and user interaction specification - Excellent writing, speaking and presentation skills *Location* Motorola Enterprise Mobility is located in Holtsville, New York on Eastern Long Island. This position is eligible for splitting the work week between the Holtsville corporate headquarters and a Manhattan satellite design office. Various levels of experience may apply.
