Borrowing a phrase from Karl: "hahahahahahahaha"

I continue to be dismayed by the use of the term UCD. While the underlying
principles are 'somewhat' sound regardless of a label, here is a term that
clearly had its roots in products and technology attempting to fake its way
into human interaction as it expands to the larger scale. In the end it
fails.

There is no way to twist and distort the common cognition of a human being
(I'm talking practitioner here) into believing that in
viewing/observing/evaluating an individual in an examinantion room
(following along with the example used, however silly it was in the first
place) somehow magically transforms the individual being observed into the
role of 'user'.

Can we PLEASE stop the madness (and the attrocious misuse of the English
language)? It just makes everyone look -- adopting a phrase from Hugh Grant
in "Two Weeks Notice" -- Silly.
