Hi Experience Designers ... I found this article in the NYTimes to be very interesting. To me the article itself, obviously a puff piece for the building of the freedom tower in all its glory, is to me the beginnings of the experience design of the freedom tower and the rebuilding of the World Trade Center space itself. Simply put the choice of a font, a font, evoking so much emotion, to me just felt like experience design, or at least its early gestation. I gave the link, which requires registration instead of the text b/c the images are important to the whole (the experience). Sorry if this is an inconvenience. Enjoy! - dave ---------- Forwarded message ---------- The article below from NYTimes.com A 9/11 Cornerstone, Chiseled With a New York Accent July 8, 2004 By DAVID DUNLAP The search for the ideal typeface to be inscribed on the Freedom Tower cornerstone at the World Trade Center site ended simply, in Gotham. http://www.nytimes.com/2004/07/08/nyregion/08blocks.html?ex=1090306439&ei=1&en=154a899acd2892a4 ------------------------ Yahoo!
