The brand is the starting point of what separates each business entity. The visual iconography (logo mark), voice (copy tone), sound (intel deah-dump-da-dua), product/service approach (the competitive edge), business practices (behavior in marketplace), etc... work in conjunction to communicate the overall brand philosophy. A philosophy that experience design can plug into. Be it a strategic big picture goal or a small tactical one...
