"Building Brand Into Your Product or Website" If you're interested in how to design for brand more explicitly in software and websites, then you might enjoy this online seminar next Wednesday, April 6 at 12:00 EST. We'll first explore how brand can add clarity and value to the idea of "customer experience", then discuss some practical techniques such as: - creating "brand compasses" to set objectives for the type of experience you want to deliver online. - working with "brand ladders" to identify design elements that support the brand. - using projective techniques to assess whether a particular design is fulfilling the brand promise or creating a disconnect. This highly-rated session has been presented at venues such as the UPA annual conference and by invitation for organizations such as the BBC and IBM. Next week's seminar is hosted by the STC (Society for Technical Communication) but is open to non-members. Although some content will be tailored for technical communicators, the discussion is highly appropriate for designers, usability specialists, product managers, and marketers.
