What did you change?  I did a cvs status for my current checkout and 
what's in the latest CVS available via rsyn and didn't see any files 
that had been modified outside of the ones I changed for the search page.

I don't have a problem putting it where you think is best, as long as 
the functionality gets added as it will help clear up a lot of confusion 
for users when they get inconsistent results from a reordered gallery 
that they then add new images to.
