cant post notes to default notepad

I am having a problem similar to Marc G. Fournier. I also get the message:

Warning: urlencode() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in
/usr/share/pear2/Horde/Util.php on line 178

whenever i try to add a new note.  When I try to add a note to the default
notepad, I get this message:

  Access denied saving note: <br /> <b>Warning</b>: htmlspecialchars() expects
parameter 1 to be string, object given in
<b>/var/www/html/horde2/mnemo/templates/memo/memo.inc</b> on line <b>36</b><br
/> not found.

however, if i go into the options and create a new notepad, I can then post a
new note, even though i still get the urlencode error (same as above).  I have
the current version of horde running and im wondering if anyone has ran into or
maybe even fixed this. thanks.
