Marc, I had the same problem and changed the sam_hook to if 
(!function_exists('_sam_hook_username')) {
    function _sam_hook_username($horde_uid)
   {
           return Auth::getAuth();
   }
}

And it wrote:
(6,'[email protected]','required_hits','4.5')

Rather than:

(1,'eculp','required_hits','5.0')

YMMV, maybe I was lucky for once ;)
