sam with cyrus and lmtp

I'm evaluating the use of spamassassin for my mail system.

I have a postfix daemon that make the delivery through LMTP to
a remote cyrus imap server.

I can install spamassassin as a content filter but i don't really see
where sam could enter in this process.

Has someone already installed that kind of configuration?
