passwd and _passwd_hook_username hook

My horde users are username1 and my vpopmail users are [email protected],
is it possible to get the _passwd_hook_username hook to map to one entry in
the backend and not an other? I am trying to build a composite driver that
changes both password entries at the same time, but would only like to
append the domain part to the vpopmail driver.
