Passwd uses the Horde ssl settings...  So if Horde allows it, then
passwd does too..

I'm not sure if Horde supports this or not.  You could ask on the
horde mailing list to find out, if no one else can answer on this
list.

Since I believe Horde uses the PEAR DB library, and it does support
ssl connections, there is no reason Horde (and hence passwd) couldn't
support it. I'm just not sure if it is or not...
