Nasty yearly recurence problem with Funambol

Hello

we urgently need a working sync with Horde <--> Outlook for calendar.  
Since some time the Funambol client does not sync yearly recurences  
(brithday) anymore with error "wrong format for Interval" (see  
http://bugs.horde.org/ticket/9303). We have tried to roll back  
Horde/Kronolith until Version 3.3.4/2.3.1 but the error is still the  
same. We also tested Funambol clients from 6.5.8 until 8.7.2 all with  
the same result. As i'm sure this has worked some time in the past i  
really like to know why this problem suddenly arises. Has anyone out  
there a syncronisation which can sync yearly events from Horde -->  
Funambol Client??

If yes which versions of Outlook/Funambol/Horde are used?

Are there any other working Outlook SyncML clients out there?
