I was curious if any users have had the need to provide a username/password combo for an NNTP server. We require the ability to pass along a username/password combo to our ISP's Typhoon NNTP server. Are there any hidden paramters in Troll for sending along this information? >From my understanding there are two methods to authenticate, depending on the NNTP server, one could use the following notation: nntp://<username>:<password>@news.my-isp.com. I've replaced this in the server field and Troll does not interpret this nomenclature properly. And I guess the other method would be to interactively login via the NNTP session (which I've done by telneting to the NNTP port on the server). Thoughts?
