I rarely use boxsizer, maybe a flexgridsizer will do it, it sizes a row 
or column according to the largest one.

I am Swiss German, living in the South of France with my New Zealand 
wife.  Riaan wanted to see a few different translations to get things 
going, so I did the German one (or at least started it).
