If you want to put in non-ASCII characters in your file, you need to
declare an encoding at the very begining of the python file. Something
like this:

# -*- coding: utf-8 -*-

I would recommend using utf-8 (unicode)  and using the unicode version
of wxpython - this assures best possible compability across different
languages and OSes.

See attached file. (attaching because your email client may corrupt
the encoding)
