It will disturb it, but just temporarily.

Add the sizer and then you need to manualy add the widgets to the sizer 
using the sizers collection editor.

This is the way I did a lot of my screens when the support of sizers was 
not as good as it is now - it just takes a little bit more time then 
adding the sizer first and dropping the controls after onto the designer.
