Oh this is fantastic. About time we had some movement on this. I had =
been long considering forking this thing , at least so all the patches =
could be implemented.

the good thing is , modern Source control systems like git and mercurial =
dont have the fork hell problems thats CVS and SVN used to, meaning if =
the original dev ever returns , he can slot right back in and take over =
and=20
merge whatever work he's done in private without too much grief.
