Not really valid discussion for the phpeclipse list, but having just 
migrated another package that was PEAR:DB based, the problem is not so 
much with the abstraction library but with the way the SQL is 
constructed. However if Oracle is supported, then the SQL will normally 
be 'standard' enough for Firebird anyway - most Oracle users can migrate 
directly to Firebird and scrap their license fees :)

Still - I have 2 years invested in bitweaver so I'm not going to be 
changing any time soon ;)

I do wish I had more time to invest in other projects such as 
phpeclipse, but apart from a problem with a phantom error detection 
across the bitweaver code I'm more than happy with it's facilities and 
have no plans to bother with the php-ide crap.
