Summary: SMB implementation of EFS

Initial Comment:
I need to be able to use a mounted SMB drive in
phpeclipse, currently it works but is REALLY REALLY
SLOW, i am using Zend Studio now and it works fine,
however i would love to move to eclipse.

[15:44] pombreda http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/EFS
[15:45] jcrawford no clue what i am looking at lol
[15:46] jcrawford not sure if it matters but i am on a
mac and smb is generally treated like a local drive
[15:46] jcrawford atleast from the UI user experience
anyway
[15:46] jcrawford mounts to /Volumes/jcrawford
[15:46] jcrawford only difference is that in eclipse it
is REALLY SLOW
[15:50] pombreda jcrawford: just to make the story
short. if there were an smb implementation of efs, then
you would be able to point direct to an smg share when
creating a project :-)
[15:50] pombreda since efs does sophisticated cahing
the speed should be acceptable.
[15:50] pombreda hypotethically of course
[15:51] jcrawford what does that mean?
[15:51] jcrawford the new version will work for me or no?
[15:53] pombreda jcrawford: no it will not work unless
someone code an EFS smb provider for eclipse
[15:54] jcrawford bah
[15:54] jcrawford is that in the works or atleast planned?
[15:54] pombreda no
[15:54] pombreda jcrawford: afaik, at least, yet you
could work on that.
[15:54] pombreda jcifs is the java samba lib
[15:54] jcrawford lol i know nothing about java
[15:55] jcrawford my programming knowledge is full in
PHP and that alone :D
[15:55] pombreda jcrawford: ok, time to leran :-)
[15:55] pombreda *learn
[15:55] pombreda jcrawford: make a request on sf.net
[15:55] pombreda jcrawford: so i do not forget about it
[15:55] pombreda jcrawford: i can may be get benny'work
excited about that :-P
