About point 5,6 and 10:
They are releted.
A lot of work to do!
I've joined [email protected] and read last messages. Seems that eclipse platform soon be on debian/ubuntu again. The version is 3.4 so we should refactor, remove deprecated and implement AST referring to eclipse 3.4.
