I wonder, and forgive my ignorance, but does IntelliJ give plug-in
developers an easy way to launch another 'copy of IntelliJ to
debug/test your stuff? (Eclipse calls this the runtime workbench).

Is it easy/hard/possible to run JUnit tests in a runtime?

If so, how much freedom does unit test code have? Can you
programmatically create a module and add remove jars/folders from the
classpath?

Your comment has started wheels turning in my head.
