fast-open dialog

I have just come upon a situation that is rather annoying, so I hope
there is a fix.

I have been working in Project A for the past week.  I'm now working
in Project B today, where there are several files with the same name
as Project A.  When I use the fast-open dialog the history shows files
from Project A, which just keep getting in the way.  Is there anyway
to make the history in the fast-open dialog specific to the active
project?
