Be sure to use Komodo 7.0.1 (or later), as Komodo 7.0.0 had a performance problem with projects on a Samba drive. Other than that, it might pay to disable network file checks "Edit > Preferences > Editor > Detect when networked files are changed outside the environment", as when that is enabled, Komodo will be synchronously checking the file status from these network shares... which if there is any network error or network latency will translate into Komodo stalls/delays.
