Right click and select 'Show hidden files'?  It depends on your OS.

Hiding files that start with a . is a Unix feature.

Would it be a reasonable request to ask that komodo detected and showed
some files that start with a '.' character? I am thinking particularly
of .htaccess files - when I have a project directory it would be nice if
that was picked up and appeared in the index automatically. There may be
other files too - a configurable set.

Of course, there is probably already a way of doing this that I am not
aware of....
