Hello,
The Komodo IDE/Edit 7.1.0 beta 1 build is now available, you can
download it directly from here:
http://downloads.activestate.com/Komodo/releases/7.1.0b1/
The Komodo 7.1.0 release contains many new features, updates and bug
fixes. Here are the highlights below:
* *Variable Highlighting
*When you clickon a variable in the Komodo editor, all other
instances of that variable will get highlighted in the current file.
This is really useful for quickly seeing where a variable gets used
in your code. You can customize the variable highlighting behaviour
in Komodo preferences.
* *PHP 5.4 support*
Full PHP 5.4 support is included in Komodo 7.1. Debugging (Xdebug)
has been updated to support PHP 5.4, Code Intelligence knows about
the new Traits feature (including trait aliasing and overriding)
* *Ruby 1.9.3 support*
Komodo was updated to work with the latest versions of ruby, so
Komodo 7 supports debugging of Ruby 1.9.3 programs and offers Code
Intelligence for the latest API methods of Ruby 1.9.3.
* *Node.js 0.6 update*
Komodo's Code Intelligence APIs have been updated to support the
latest version of Node.js.
* *Twig Template support*
Support for the Twig template language was added, which is used by
PHP/Symfony2 projects.
* *New Language Builder*
Komodo now makes it extremely easy to add support for a new language
in Komodo. Using the /Project > New Project from Template > Create
Komodo Language/ menu you can have a new language being support by
Komodo in mere minutes!
* *Bug fixes*
There were over 80 bug fixes and minor enhancements made to Komodo
7.1. You use Komodo's /Help > Release Notes /to retrieve the full
list of changes made.
Note that this is a beta release and that the official Komodo 7.1.0
release is expected in another month (July, 2012).
All updates made to Komodo IDE 7 series are available for free to Komodo
IDE 7.x license holders. Your license also entitles you to run Komodo
IDE on any of the platforms we support (Windows, Mac OS X and Linux).
