to announce that IDC 2007 is now open for registration!

Details

Following an enthusiastic response to our call for papers,
we have selected nearly twenty presentations, and have asked
another dozen people to prepare poster displays/demonstrations.
Nine countries will be represented, from Europe and Asia,
North and South America.

The programme will offer a good mix of industry case-studies
from design practitioners and their customers, and reports
from researchers -- all selected for their relevance to the
practical business of making information more usable and
easy to understand.

The following topics have emerged:

   #  Wayfinding and signing
   #  Health information and food labelling
   #  Interactive systems
   #  Instructions and explanations
   #  Designing communication in regulatory environments
   #  Design theories, models and techniques

...and we are in the process of organising the conference
programme into sessions.

Registration and Fees

Fees for IDC 2007 have been set at =A3230 for both days, or
=A3140 if attending one day only.  This includes lunch and
refreshments, but not accommodation.  Our web site provides
a list of accommodation possibilities, travel guidance, and
a map.  Greenwich is steeped in history, and visitors who
choose to stay the weekend will find much to do and see.

Our online registration system is able to accept payment
using a range of credit and debit cards.  You do not have
to pay immediately upon registering, but will be emailed
a log-in password so that you can update your registration
details and pay closer to the event.

About the Conference

IDC 2007 is the latest in a series of UK-based Information
Design Conferences, most recently held in 1997, 1998 and
2000.  Our previous events have been most enjoyable and
intellectually stimulating, and have led to lasting global
friendships and collaborations.  We do not doubt that
IDC 2007 will be every bit as rewarding.
