Dear Claudio, I agree with you that a compound term that has an empty extension does not necesarilly describes something invalid or impossible. So if one wants to get ... fruitful new ideas then he does not have to use the Compound Terms Composition Algebra. If on the other hand one wants to build an information base using a faceted taxonomy and make object indexing easy and error-free, then the Compound Terms Composition Algebra is (according to my opinion) the most well- defined and powerful tool that we have now.
