this is correct... and all the examples were the cases where

totally agree about this being trivial on the level of application.
I was only wondering if publishing facetted classification as an independent
namespace what would be the best way of coding citation/filing rules.

I did not think of treating 'relators'as terms, but having said that
I don't see why not.
I think I should attempt to exploit compound terms algebra if possible.
I have to see how can this be implemented... I may get back to you
after some time.

Also, just in case you may have different view on this... knowledge facetted
classifications are by definition 'precoordinated indexing tools'. This
means
that 'meaningful' coordination/relation between terms is established in the
process of object indexing. Although you can search facet terms using
booleans
it is wise to preserve syntax and relationships as this may reduce recall
and
increase precision in the huge repositories
(this is analogue to the well known examples in using booleans on keywords:
history of philosophy vs. philosophy of history, bibliography of
encyclopaedias
vs. encyclopaedias of bibliography ).
