Bill,
Well done. There are a few more relevant references (in English)
you may like to add.
First, have a look at the project report of the FACET -
Faceted Access to Cultural hEritage Terminology

Two books (classics - sine qua non!)
Ranganathan, S. R.  Prolegomena to library classification;
assisted by M. A. Gopinath. 3rd ed. London: Asia Publishing House, 1967.

Mills, J. A modern outline of library classification. London: Chapman &
Hall, 1960.

Also some exensive introductions to the faceted classification systems
contain everything one may like to consult when creating
faceted classification:

The BSO manual: the development, rationale and use of the Broad System of
Orderiing. Prepared by teh FID/BSO Panel, Eric Coates, Geoffrey Lloyd,
Dusan Simandl. FID Publication 580. The Hague: FID, 1979.

Mills, J.; Broughton V. "Introduction and auxiliary schedules",
Bliss Bibliographic Classification. 2nd ed. London: Bowker Saur, 1977.

Thanks to everyone who had some suggestions for my bibliography. Some
things went in and some didn't, which you'll understand when you remember
how it is being a student and frantically finishing an assignment.

Here's the URL:

You'll probably notice something missing that you think is important. The
more I worked on this the more I'd have liked to make an exhaustive
bibliography, but I had to end it sometime and I just couldn't include
everything I wanted. Still, I hope it will be of use to someone.

Cheers,

Bill
