I haven't had a chance to look at Mills's book, but I've read the
PROLEGOMENA, and it awed me.  I didn't put it in my biblio because I
thought it would scare most people, heavy and dense as it is, and I didn't
go over it to refresh my memory.  I have to plead to being a student with
a due date and professors whose kindness is great but not infinite.

Thank you very much for the other cites.  Some are sitting beside me
already, and I'll track the rest down.  I'm going to let the biblio stand
as it is, at least for now, because I'm on to my next assignment.

Mr. Justice asked a week ago about what coverage of the MLA and AAT
schemes I saw.  Barbara Kwasnick discusses the Art and Architecture
Thesaurus in her article "The Role of Classification in Knowledge
Representation and Discovery" (Library Trends 48 no. 1 (Summer 1999):
22-47), but that's about all I saw.

And as to whether anyone at the school uses BC2, I haven't even met anyone
else who's catalogued their personal library with call numbers.  I did all
my books with LC before I got to the school, but I'd switch to BC2 if
there was some central place where I could look up prepared numbers.  I
don't have the energy to do it all from scratch myself.  Are you using it
on your own collection?  How much work is it to classify items? What do
you do when you have something in a subject area not yet covered?
