As you may know, he was one of the most influential post-war German designers and renowned for his thoughts on moral responsibility within a designer's work. As you can read in his book "The world as design" (http://www.amazon.de/world-design-writings-design-Menges/dp/3433024049/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1223022371&sr=1-1), for example, he refused to work on a new Corporate Design for the "BMW" car manufacturers on the grounds that he refused their philosophy of a car which was -- in his perception -- too fast, too strong and therefore not fit for "today's reality of traffic". (mind you, the book was written in 1991) If this is what you were looking for, you may also contact Prof. Markus Rathgeb who works at the "Berufsakademie Ravensburg" and who has written his PhD on Aicher (I can establish the contact if you are interested).
