Yesterday I attended the Press Preview of the exhibition (opening to 
the public today) "Magnificent Maps: Power, Propaganda and Art" at the 
British Library, London. I can confirm that this is indeed a 
MAGNIFICENT exhibition displaying items (mostly from the Library's 
collection of 4 1/2 million maps) which anyone who likes maps must 
see. It is a once in a lifetime experience and Peter Barber, Head of 
Map Collections at the BL and Map Curator, Tom Harper, are to be 
congratulated. The exhibition includes the largest atlas in the World 
and probably the smallest (from Queen Anne's dollhouse at Windsor) and 
is packed with items which you may never have a chance to see again. 
Just go; it's wonderful.
