This post is full time (35 hours per week) Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer/ Reader position (equivalent to US tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor) and is offered on an open-ended basis. * Closing Date: 12th January 2022 The University of Glasgow, established in 1451, is a member of the UK's Russell Group of leading universities. Applications for the post are welcome in the general area of Machine Learning, which complement existing strengths in the Information, Data and Analysis (IDA) Section of the School of Computing Science. This includes topics such as Machine Learning for Search/Recommendation systems, Machine Learning Algorithms, Machine Learning in Science, Causal Machine Learning/Inference, Deep Learning & Neural Models, Active and Reinforcement Learning, Multitask and Transfer Learning, Machine Learning for Computer Vision, Online Learning, Interpretable & Explainable Machine Learning, Responsible Machine Learning (incl. fairness and trustworthiness in ML) and Machine Learning for Healthcare Technologies (incl. Machine Learning for Computational Biology, Metabolomics and Bioinformatics). The postholder will develop, lead and sustain research of international standard in Computing Science; contribute to teaching, assessment, project supervision and curriculum design at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and participate in School management and organisation. For appointment at Reader you will have an outstanding track record of national and international distinction and leadership in research, including publications, income, and awards, bringing external recognition and distinction to yourself and the University.
