Université de Toulouse (UT3 – CNRS) is seeking a highly motivated and 
talented individual to join our team as a Postdoctoral Researcher. This 
position is ideal for a dynamic and ambitious researcher interested in 
advancing the field of Information Retrieval (IR) and Large Language 
Models (LLMs) with a focus on specific domains/languages, e.g., low 
resource language, legal domain, multiilingual research. The successful 
candidate will work on cutting-edge research projects aimed at 
developing innovative solutions for complex information retrieval 
challenges and tailoring LLMs to specialized domains and languages.

*Key responsabilities*

·Conduct high-impact research in Information Retrieval and Large 
Language Models.

·Develop and implement strategies for domain-specific adaptation of LLMs.

·Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and practitioners.

·Publish and present research findings in top-tier conferences and journals.

*Qualifications*

·Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Science, Linguistics, or a 
related field.

·Strong background in Information Retrieval, Machine Learning, and 
Natural Language Processing.

·Proven experience with Large Language Models and deep learning 
frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, transformers).

·Publication record in relevant conferences and journals.

·Excellent programming skills in Python or relevant languages.

·Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.

*Desired skills*

·Experience with multilingual datasets and cross-lingual transfer learning.

·Experience on fine tuning, Prompt engineering

·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
