Call for Bids: ECIR 2026

The Committee of the BCS Information Retrieval Specialist Group (BCS IRSG) is interested to hear from bidders who wish to organise the European Conference on Information Retrieval (ECIR 2026) in a European country. This will be the 48th edition of the conference.

ECIR 2025 is to be held in Lucca, Italy. Recent ECIR events have been held in Glasgow, Scotland, 2024; Dublin, Ireland, 2023, Stavanger, Norway, 2022 (hybrid); Lucca, Italy, 2021 (online); Lisbon, Portugal, 2020 (online); Cologne, Germany, 2019; Grenoble, France, 2018; Aberdeen, UK, 2017.
