Dear Colleagues,
We would like to cordially invite you to attend the multidisciplinary "Resp=
onsible AI for Mental Health Workshop" held on September 12th, 2024 in the =
beautiful America Square Conference Centre venues in central London, with o=
nline attendance available.
This is the first of a series of events of the RAi UK-funded International =
Partnership project RAI4UK between the University of Southampton and the In=
stitute for Experiential AI @ Northeastern University in the USA, which con=
nects experts in mental health, AI, public health and psychology from acros=
s academia, government, industry and the third sector.
Our goal is to collectively discuss what responsible use of AI means for th=
e domain of mental health, moving this important conversation forward whils=
t identifying key challenges and signposting promising future directions of=
travel.
We would love for you to join us for a set of talks and interactive panel d=
iscussions by our more than 12 international keynote speakers and panellist=
s, including Ricardo Baeza-Yates (Northeastern University, USA), Ansley Ber=
nand (Kooth Plc., UK), Geeth de Mel (IBM Research), Stuart Pearson (Head of=
Innovation, Citizens Advice), Elvira P=E9rez Vallejos (University of Notti=
ngham) and Maria Liakata (Queen Mary, University of London), among others!
This is a hybrid event with physical space for 80 in-person attendees and m=
ore online. Coffee breaks and lunch will be provided, as well as a drinks r=
eception for networking at the end of the day.
We encourage attendees to raise their voice and give their own insights and=
opinions on this timely topic, so apart from Q&A sessions, we will also ha=
ve direct feedback channels through digital tools that attendees, both onli=
ne or in-person, can use to give their input on the topic. We hope the coll=
ective discussions and feedback from the day can inform policy guidelines t=
o help the uptake of AI in the mental health sector is done ethically and r=
esponsibly, and this is your chance to give your input.
