CfP: 7th International Open Search Symposium #ossym2025, 8-10 October 2025, Helsinki, Finland

We are pleased to promote the 7th International Open Search Symposium #os=
sym2025. The conference will take place in Helsinki, Finland, and online =
from 8 to 10 October 2025.

Looking back six years and continuing the success of the event, the #ossy=
m Open Search Symposium series brings together the European and internati=
onal Open Internet Search community for the seventh time. The hybrid conf=
erence provides a forum to discuss and further develop the ideas and conc=
epts of open Internet search and related topics in various formats includ=
ing scientific talks, poster sessions, panels, workshops, demonstrations,=
 student engagement and informal discussion spaces. Participants include =
researchers, data centres, libraries, policy makers, legal and ethical ex=
perts, and the broader community.

We are calling for your participation with scientific papers, sharing of =
practical experiences or by introducing concepts and positions in relevan=
t fields, such as computer science, legal, economics and ethics. Full pap=
ers and abstracts presented at the #ossym2025 will be published open acce=
ss in online proceedings (including DOIs and ISBN).

Please submit your papers: for research contributions, we accept full pap=
ers (4-6 pages) and for any other contribution (posters, concepts, best p=
ractices or practitioners=E2=80=99 experiences) an extended abstract (1 p=
age).
All abstracts and papers have to be submitted at https://indico.cern.ch/e=
/OSSYM-2025 using the templates specified there. The acceptance of all fu=
ll papers and extended abstracts is subject of a peer-review process.
