CHIIR steering committee seeking new members

We'd = be happy to hear your nominations, and we strongly encourage self-nominatio= ns. The committee oversees the running of the conference, the selection of venu= es, and the overall health of the CHIIR community. This is done in quarterl= y meetings (often three online, and one in person at the conference), and a= d-hoc meetings and tasks. The steering committee term is usually three year= s. Qualified applicants will have a combination of publication history in info= rmation interaction and retrieval or a related discipline, conference organ= ising experience, and an interest in making CHIIR a great conference! We ar= e especially interested in maintaining a diverse steering committee, includ= ing gender, cultural background, career stage, workplace (industry and acad= emia), and methodological approach and disciplinary background.
