MULTIMEDIA ANNOTATION & RETRIEVAL


The researcher will be responsible for the development of multimedia
annotation and retrieval techniques. You will work in the general area of
multimedia information retrieval.  Specifically, you will be required to
develop techniques and models of multimedia annotation (under the direction
of the investigators), implement a number of demonstrator systems and
conduct evaluations of the system.  This will be done within the context of
collaborative European projects (SALERO, SEMEDIA and K-Space).  This post
is available for twenty four months in the first instance
