The Department of Management Information Systems in the University of Haifa in Israel seeks applications for a tenure-track position in the Information Systems area beginning in fall 2008. Candidates must have a PhD in Information Systems or in related area (e.g., Computer Science or Business), have an excellent record of publications in top journals and conferences, and excellence in teaching. Founded in 2002, the department of Management Information Systems in the University of Haifa ( <http://hevra.haifa.ac.il/mis/english_home.htm> http://hevra.haifa.ac.il/mis/english_home.htm) is a young and dynamic department. Growing rapidly, it currently has over 300 students, undergraduate and graduate. The University of Haifa is situated on the beautiful top of the Carmel mountain. While we invite candidates from other areas besides Information Systems, we emphasize that their research interest should be relevant to Information Systems or Software Engineering. Example areas of research include: Databases, theoretical foundations and methodologies for systems analysis and design, automation of systems development, enterprise and process modeling, medical informatics, bioinformatics, software engineering, meta-modeling, ontologies, requirements engineering, software testing, quality assurance, data warehouse, data mining, business intelligence, user modeling, intelligent agents, personal and adaptive multimedia information delivery, information filtering, human aspects of information systems, strategic and organizational aspcets of information systems, and more.
