Job: Senior Analyst - Data Mining, Nokia

The Consumer Data and Interaction Solution unit in Nokia Markets is in
charge of the program assigned to implement Nokia’s new Consumer Data and
Interaction strategy.  The team strives to build up Nokia’s consumer data
asset and to develop capabilities to use it in close collaboration with
relevant business owners.

The team is looking for a Senior Analyst for Data Mining. The person should
- Define the strategy, objectives, and use cases for consumer data mining
- Deliver clear business benefits to business stakeholders obtained through
data analysis
- Conduct hands-on analysis, mentor junior-level analysts, and steer 3rd
party vendors
- Contribute to the Nokia-wide consumer data model and data collection
practices
- Create processes in support of data mining activities
- Act as a central point of reference for data mining topics toward Nokia
businesses and services
- Build up Nokia’s data mining community
- Collaborate with other Nokia analytics functions

The ideal candidate possesses the following characteristics:
- Good understanding of telecommunications and particularly of the Internet
business
- Capability to identify, assess and apply appropriate data mining tools
and techniques
- High-level expertise in statistical programming and analytics tools
- Proficient in programming and data management
- PhD degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, operations
research or related field
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated results orientation
