The availability of information across media and genres, across
languages, and across modalities constantly increases. How people=20
access this information is highly dependent on the context of their=20
interaction and this context is influenced by a range of factors=20
such as the time, place, and history of interaction, the tasks=20
motivating the interaction and the technical possibilities of=20
the information systems. IIiX 2008 will explore the relationships=20
between the contexts that affect Information Retrieval and=20
Seeking, how these contexts impact on information behaviour,=20
and how knowledge of information contexts can help design truly=20
interactive information systems.
