Knol Adds LaTeX Editor

Anyone who is interested in the wider dissemination
of math and logic knowledge may take heart from this:

Knol has — finally — added a formula editor
that supports a moderate subset of the LaTeX
markup language.

This should do a lot to enhance Knol's support of technical writing in math and science.

At any rate, the lack of TeX support was the main thing that kept many people
from developing more knols on technical subjects since the initial roll-out of
the project.  The editor lets you write LaTeX in the usual way, with an instant
preview panel, but also has WYSIWYG tool buttons that serve as useful reminders.
