The last 10 years of experience with Dubya^3 has been a discouraging one for me,
coming as it did after a pre-millennial decade in which a renascence of inquiry
into inquiry, critical thinking, and Peircean ideas seemed everywhere in the air.

A majority of the old discussion lists have devolved into conference announcement
lists, the web is now full of avowedly anti-discussion sites, and then there is
Wikipedism to add to your list of intellectual cul-de-sacs becoming more cultish
with every passing day.

Here's hoping the next decade will be less decadent than the one just passing.
