I guess the method of taste could be called "epicurity".
Fermentation does convey the image of a symposium, and
that would give the word "colloquy" for the 3rd method.
But the trouble with all these clues to the whole sense
of the à priori method, its advantages and shortcomings,
effects and defects, is the same issue that affects the
otherwise fair approximation by way of "congruity", and
this is that we still have to ask "congruity with what?".
And here the answer is agreeability with the insufficient
reasons of wishful thinking, the idols of species thought,
cave, agora, and theatre that even duly cultured minds are
wont to spin in default of the controls of reality testing.
