Great summary.

Another thing that worth to discuss on this thread is the configuration
facility/tools for LEs in gimlet. gimlet configuration tool can have a
place for its own configurations, and later gimlet also can able to load
configuration module from LE to display configuration for specific LE.

Would it be benefit to users?

This also linked to any thought on some important settings/configuration
for gimlet like enabling toggle key configuration in gimlet?
