It's not a dream but we have already similar mechanisms in so-called
"rich client" world.  No matter how we invent a new appropriate abstraction of
such GUIs for IM, it's worth proposing the new GUI library for AUX as you said.
But I think it will be similar to the general-purpose framework particulary for
"auxiliary object" and eventually a reinvention of the wheel.
I think it's a good time to consider to adopt generic platform-neutral rich client
system such as XUL for IIIMF.  Although XUL is maybe an overkill, it will be
an open standard in OASIS and seems sufficient for our purpose.
